Raid a Village
Build a block kingdom, train an army and raid other players for their gold.
Overview
A base-building strategy game with asynchronous raids. Players design their defences across twenty Town Hall levels, then attack other players' villages while those players are offline.
The game
Each player owns an island and builds a walled kingdom on it: defences, resource buildings and a keep that unlocks the next of twenty Town Hall levels. Then you train an army, pick your heroes and raid. Every raid is played against the saved layout of another village, and its defences fight back on their own.
What went into it
- Asynchronous raids: villages are stored as compact snapshots, so any base can be loaded and attacked at any time, with defences running their own targeting.
- Army and heroes: several troop types with different roles, plus heroes that level up and join the attack.
- A build mode with a top-down camera to place and rearrange the whole base on a stud grid.
- Progression: three currencies, builders, upgrades, pets, guilds and islands you can visit, balanced around a long-term curve.
- Practice battles against your own base, so layouts can be tested without risk.
- Data: player profiles that migrate safely between versions, so updates never wipe progress.
